China’s creative community and youth culture

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Jenny Zhu from Chinesepod.com interviews Adam Schokora:

“The interview concerns the future of China if you will by looking at its emerging creativity, innovation and the young Chinese behind it. They grew up during fundamental social changes, subscribe to many values different from previous generations. They (myself included in the group) will be playing a vital global role in the near future.  So it is time to start to understand them. Sit back and enjoy (probably over a few installments).”

I love creative stop motion stuff

Fresh and funky feeling smooth and spunky, here’s some fantastic photon motion meant to muse your creative devotion:

Oi Va Voi “Everytime” from Katarzyna Kijek on Vimeo.

This was passed on to my by jc. He found it here on Kanye’s blog and Kanye (or whoever posts for him) found it through Fubiz which is just a brilliant site (and it’s in French–use Babelfish to translate it).

Poeticpixel

It’s been many years since I first met Diwa. I really don’t even know how many, but it’s been at least six, and it was in the early days of deviantart.com. I don’t know if it was her unique art or maybe the fact that she was a girl from the Philippines with talent that had me reeling like a schoolgirl, but we’ve managed to maintain communication over the years and I’ve grown to genuinely respect her as an artist. A very, very undervalued artist. She’s also a fantastic web designer… HOT! Visit her site, poeticpixel.

This is a very simple, elegant example of one of her works. She’s done a great deal more than this, and I really only chose one of her more simple designs because I don’t want to flash her great works here. That’s what her site is for! So go, silly people! Go!

Should you stumble on the way there and not quite make it, then you fail at life.
